Through the organizers of the event initially wanted to hold the festival outdoor to attract more people, logistical problems make it difficult to do so, said Moataz Nasr El Din. He was hoping to build a large installation right on a downtown street but instead had to do something “smaller”. The result of his week-long effort was a beautiful room filled with warm lighting filtering through a straw mat from the ceiling on to three pillars of wood with metallic arms stretching upwards.
