The Wheelchairs
The work was exhibited in December 2001 in a personal show in Townhouse Gallery, Cairo.
The video was exhibited in a dark room, similar to a cinema hall, but instead of having normal chairs the audience was supposed to sit on wheelchairs. In the video many faces are projected onto a puddle. The image of those people is then broken by the step of an unknown person.

Technique
The wheelchairs are not movable and were made by the artist with old wheels bought at the “Friday Market” in Cairo, where second-hand objects are sold.
